34 week checkup

Today was pretty cool.  I went to the Dr. thinking I was going to see Dr. Gumby.  I sat in the waiting forever, saw the nurse, whined a little to her lol.  She told me that my swelling is due to the fact that I sit all day and the pressure of the babies.  There isn't anywhere for it to go except my legs and feet.  That's fine, I just wish they didn't hurt so bad, wish it was more like walking on marshmallows.   She took my vitals and weight, which are still doing pretty good.  I have gained a total of 44lbs and my blood pressure is 124/80.  My blood pressure is climbing but slowly and that is to be expected.  I went back to the waiting room because she said Dr. Gumby was at the hospital delivering a baby.  Lovely, normally when this happens I am there FOREVER!  But the doors opened about 5 to 10 minutes later and low and behold Dr. Gumby was back.  I was called back and put in a room.  Seemed like I sat in there for while, the door opens and it is my Dr.'s daughter, she works there on occasion, she didn't realize there was someone in there, she says sorry and leaves.  Next thing I know I hear the nurse ask is "Kari Sharp your patient?"  Then I hear DR. PAYNE answer "yes she is I will see her in just a moment!!!"  See he is still supposed to be off because of his heart surgery. He walked in and sent me to his room, he gives me a sono every time I see him.  WHOO HOO I wasn't expecting this today and it sure did make my day.  He showed me how they were both breathing in fluid (which is so amazing), once again Lexi has gone head down and they are both measuring right at 34 weeks.  So hopefully with them both measuring right on schedule they are both weighing about 4.5lbs or more.  Anywho that is how today went...hopefully next week will be just as good. Ttys!!!
