Noah and Lexi's arrival!!

Sorry its been a couple of weeks.  Let me start off by saying I have two little angels now!

On Monday the 7th I went and saw my dr. He said the babies looked great and that he would see me back on Thursday.  That was kind of suprising to me considering he told me we would discuss my c-section that day.  I said something about it and he said we would maybe talk Thursday, he wanted to see me that day now.  I went back to work somewhat disappointed.  I was ready, I had told out of town people that it would be Thursday the 10th.  Once I got back to work it was just about lunch time, joking, I did a few squats in front of a couple of my close friends.  The rest of the day went as normal, although I did notice some changes, I started having discharge.  Not a lot but some.  We ate dinner that night, all went as normal.  I went to bed around 10pm, woke up at midnight to use the restroom, got back in bed and thought to myself well I know I wiped lol, rolled over and got out of bed.  About that time I am standing on hardwood floors and watched my waterbreak.  I laughed and thought wow it is really time and hehe I don't have to wait on Dr. Payne anymore.  I went and woke up my mom and the first thing out of her mouth was "MY HAIR!"  Sounds like something she would say.  I told her to take a shower and I would call the dr. I called my husband and the dr.  Dr. Payne said head to the hospital looks like we are having babies today.  My sister showed up and we headed out.  We finally left the house by 1:30 or so we got to the hospital by 2am.  Daniel, his mom and mamaw were there waiting for us.  They took Daniel and I to a room, hooked me up and things went really fast at that point. They checked me, I was 70% effaced and dilated to a 3.  The Dr. on call said she would be calling Dr. Payne and it could be soon.  Daniel and I both thought it would be a little while.  NOPE!  Dr. Payne arrived and we headed out to the O.R.  All I was thinking is wow my babies will be here in a matter of a hour or so.  Once in the O.R. I was hooked up and the nerves kicked in, a nurse there massaged my head and Daniel said I had a good grip on his hand.  Dr. Payne walked in and very soon after Noah was born at 4:14am.  And to my suprise came out screaming, what a relief!!!!  Daniel got a nice peak at him and sat down beside me, they took Noah off to the other room to clean him up.  One minute later Alexis popped out screaming!!!  The nurse then asked Daniel if he wanted to go see them, he grabbed the camera and left.  Now the next however many minutes seemed like absolutely forever because I still hadn't seen them, I could hear them but not see them.  I hated it.  Daniel walked in with both babies OMG they were so tiny and beautiful.  I couldn't stop staring at them.  Soon after they took us all to the recovery room were both Grandmothers, their Great Grandmother, Aunt Kelli and Dana were aloud to come visit.  I was a little out of it but enjoying every moment spent with them.  After a short while they had to take both babies into the nursery for their checkup, they stayed there for two hours.  We were told Noah weighed 4lbs 7 oz and was 18" long and Alexis was 4lbs 12oz and was 18" long.  This was about a pound smaller than we all had expected.  Oh well because they were perfect!!!  They really had no major issues, Noah for a moment had dropped his oxygen but brought it right back up and Alexis was having a bit of a blood sugar issue but fixed it within a hour or so.  The rest is history, we are home now and I can't complain.  They sleep well, eat great and are thrieving.  Oh wait I forgot to say that apparently their birth weights were wrong, they actually weighed a bit more.  Noah weighed 4lbs 15oz and Lexi 5lbs 3oz.  The scales in the O.R. were wrong and we weren't told until 3 days later.  GRRR oh well at least they told us.  Their first pediatrian appt was great, both babies are back to their birth weights something that usually doesn't happen until around 2 weeks.  Noah's umbilical cord fell off at the appt, so of course I asked for a little baggy to put it in.  I am going to share a few photos.  I can't tell you enough how much they are loved.  How could you not love something so perfect!  I believe Noah looks like what his daddy looks like now and Lexi kind of looks like both of us but more like me I think.  I will be back soon to update everyone on their progress.

Till then!
