36 wks 4 days strong

So last weeks appt. was a little scary.  Dr. Payne scanned Noah and Lexi as usual.  Then I hear him say hmmm.  I am thinking what the heck does hmmm mean.  Well it meant that he was concerned that Noah's blood supply wasn't working very well anymore.  He told me he was sending me over to the specialist to do some measurements, if the measurements came back that Noah had stopped growing he would be taking the babies as early as that day.  Wow wasn't expecting that!  So off to the specialist we went.  After waiting for what felt like forever and a day we finally saw a resident Dr.  She said she would be taking measurements and then so would the Dr.  She took her measurements, said they were both small. She left the screen up and it said Lexi was measuring about 4lbs 12oz which meant Noah was a lot smaller since he was the one my Dr. was concerned with to begin with.  A few minutes later the regular Dr. came in, took the scan and said my babies were doing just fine.  She measured there bones and their blood supply.  She did ask how short I was and I told her I was 5'5" and their daddy wasn't much taller than me.  She said more than likely they were just short because of genetics.  DUH!  I didn't think they would have long long legs lol.  So she sent us out there saying the babies had no reason to meet us all that day.  Oh and this Dr. said Lexi weighed in at about 5lbs 14oz and Noah 5lbs 4oz.  Personally I think that is pretty great!!!  Later that day I spoke to Dr. Payne.  He said he was pleased that the specialist wasn't concerned but he wanted to see me on Monday so we could discuss the c-section for that Thursday, which was 5 days earlier than he originally told me we could do it.  He figured they would grow better on the outside.  That brings us to today.  I go into the Dr. suspecting and oh so happy that we will be discussing the c-section (that I told everyone I was having).  He does his scan, tells me everyone looks so good, that I am being used as an example to his daughter in law that is also having twins (she is 33wks) and that he wanted to see me again Thursday.  I then of course said um thought we discussing my c-section for Thursday, he said well we can talk about that Thursday, which freaking meant that it wasn't happening.  He is content with them in my belly, which is totally fine with me except that I get hardly any sleep, my sleep patterns are terrible and I feel so big and swollen.  But I will continue trucking along for my little babies, they are well worth it!  Oh my blood pressure today 120/78 so that is awesome!  No protein in my urine, so no major worries.  He did go ahead and check me this time, I am almost dilated to a 3 which is 2 cm more than I was a week and a day ago.  He told me I could go into labor at anytime at this point.  Guess it is time to carry an extra pair of pants lol.   I will update you on Thursday unless he wants to send me over to the hospital!!!  HAHA wishful thinking!
