Time flies when your having fun
So it has been since June since I last blogged. A lot has changed but change it's great! The twins are now 8 months old, I was let go from my job of 11 + years and my mom moved to Houston with the company we both worked for. WOW! I have been a stay at home mom for 2 months now and a single mom at that. I LOVE IT! I wouldn't have ever had this opportunity if I wasn't laid off, so I am enjoying every second with Noah and Lexi. I plan on returning to school in January which means the twins have to return to daycare...BOO. I hated them in daycare. The entire time they were there, they were sick. From colds to bronchitis to hand, foot and mouth disease, they had it all. Hand, foot and mouth was so hard on Noah, Lexi got a very light case of it first, then Noah, he was covered in little blisters and a terrible rash. Now 6 weeks later their toenails and fingernails have begun falling off. Apparently that is a side effect from that. Not cool!. There is always a nail underneath but still, who wants to lose their nails.
Their little progresses and corks. I will start with Lexi.
Lexi is something else. My little spunky monkey! Full of laughter, loudness and definitely my little naughty one, she laughs when I tell her no. She lights up my life like nothing else. Lexi started saying hi and hey about 2 months ago. Now she says dada, hi, hey, and holla (which is just freaking hilarious). She waves somewhat and gives a high five, oh and she claps with excitement. She has what we all call the Lexi pose. It's where she lies on her side and puts her hand on her hip and swings her little leg. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Because she does this she refuses to sit herself up. She can sit and army crawl but she won't sit herself up yet. But the girl can get just about anywhere her little heart desires. I have had to put the dog's food bowl up high. My daughter loves to eat dog food. I know, its gross. But what do you do lol. She runs around chasing the dog in her walker. My little lady bug loves to dance with me, she places her face against mine and dance in the living room. Special moments like that melt me.
Noah, sweet Noah. My butterball, my snuggle bunny and momma's little man . For being so tiny at birth, you should see his thighs. They look like hammocks! Noah is all boy. He climbs all over Lexi, she just sits and there and screams. He took a little longer to do things but now he is definitely more active. He didn't roll over until he was about 6.5 months old. But when that happened well he took off. He is standing on things, pushing things and runs in his walker. Like Lexi he refuses to sit up on his own. But can if I put him in that position. Noah is my little flirt, he loves smiling at new people, especially the ladies. He eats everything, anything he can get his hands on it is in his mouth. I think he may be a biter one day. That scares me but we will deal with that when and if that happens. A few days ago he started truly crawling, he too had been doing the army crawl. He talks too, dada was his first word. This depresses me lol only because daddy is not around but people say that is just what babies say first. Fine! I have to say that yesterday my sister and I were hanging out in the bedroom with him and he started saying Hot Dog, yes I said Hot Dog lol. If you have ever watched Mickey Mouse Club House you would understand why. He loves Mickey Mouse. Of course my sister and I both got hysterical, so I grabbed the video camera and recorded it. He amazes me all the time. Noah can make me laugh when nothing is funny, he just has to smile. His smile is like a million dollars to me!
Both babies have started eating more solid foods, although neither have teeth yet. I love the organic baby foods that are starters for the solid foods. This week they started getting steamed peas, fresh bananas and peaches for snack. They love it. It is messy but we have fun with that.
I have to say this, people stop me all the time and just can't believe I have two babies in a store at one time, they tell me how proud of me they are, they bless me and tell me they have no idea how I manage. Well sometimes that throws me a little off. I was made to be their mom. I wouldn't change a single bit of our lives together, its not as hard as people think. God knew what he was doing when he gave me both of them. Sometimes things may be a little harder than normal but heck what is normal??? This is my normal, two precious children that I love more than anything in this world. There is nothing that will stand in our way. We will conquer all that is thrown at us, the good and the bad. I tell them my life is perfect and thank them.
Check out their photos, time changes everything but never changes what they mean to me!!!!
